About Laurie Levine

My passion for art started when I was a child. I loved drawing on the wall behind our couch - and then on the piano keyboard - and then in every drawer in my dresser.  I'd doodle everyday throughout my school years, and went on to publish a weekly comic strip "Tulane Elaine" in my college newspaper. I also designed t-shirts, pamphlets, and event banners for the school. So, when it was time to graduate, I naturally went on to start a career in....

 

Digital Sales and Marketing! OK, not the obvious choice, but I did learn a lot about business and people.  I was fortunate to live in NYC and continue taking classes at the best art schools including School of Visual Arts, Parson's School of Design, FIT, and The Arts Student League of NY.

Over the years I have worked on a variety of projects from illustrating children's poems, to designing t-shirts for a leisurewear company, and charms for a jewelry company. I designed logos for businesses, and I also illustrated a CD cover for Grammy award winning, New Orleans musician, George Porter Jr.

​

Coming full circle, my career now solely focuses on commissioned art projects, and freelance graphic design for people, companies and organizations. I live in Chappaqua, NY with my husband and 10 year old twin boys who inspire me every day.
